Your Primary Care Provider & You
Thursday, February 25, 2010 from 5:30 - 7:00 pm
Duke Integrative Medicine Building on the Center for Living campus
A medical home – a new term with an old twist
In this age of uncertainty in health care, now is the time to make some changes in how and where you seek care for yourself and your family
And one of the first steps in taking charge of your health is finding and establishing a relationship with a primary care provider, or developing a relationship with a Primary Care Provider who will work with you to establish your own medical home. In this seminar, we hope to shed a little light on the subject and provide some direction for you. Even if you have a Primary Care Provider already, come hear how to best utilize this key player and partner in your health plan.
- Why do you need primary care?
- Do you get better care if you have a primary care provider?
- When you need a medical home.
- Is a mid-level provider right for you?
- When to use urgent care.
